Among others, the conference will include a dedicated topic on Offshore Wind Energy and a special session on Learnings from the Wind and Wave Industry. Some of the testing that has been performed under the MaRINET2 Trans-national Access program wil also be showcased.
This conference will offer a multi-disciplinary open forum for disucssion for all scientists and engineers working in the field of wind energy. WESC 2019 will include a vibrant social program which will give delegates the opportunity to experience the best that Ireland has to offer.

WESC 2019 will include a vibrant social program which will give delegates the opportunity to experience the best that Ireland has to offer.
WESC 2019 is comprised of 7 Themes which cover the main scientific topics in wind energy science and an 8th Theme which is left open for more cross cutting sessions. Each Theme will have its own dedicated lecture theatre for the duration of WESC 2019 and will host between 11 and 20 sessions.
Abstracts and proposals for Mini-Symposia are invited in the following Themes: Wind Resource, Turbulence and Wakes (Theme 1); Turbine Technology and Aerodynamics (Theme 2); Wind to Wire Power Systems (Theme 3); Social, Economic and Policy (Theme 4); Turbine Lifecycle Considerations (Theme 5); Structures, Safey and Reliability (Theme 6); Offshore Wind Energy (Theme 7) with GDG's Managing Director, Paul Doherty, and Special Sessions (Theme 8).
