Suède – Allemagne. Tuesday 19/09/2017 – energiesdelamer.eu – Stefan Dohler joined Vattenfall in 1998 and has served as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer since December 2016. Before that he held a number of senior management positions at Vattenfall. Stefan Dohler will become the new CEO of EWE AG, one of the largest regional utilities in Germany.

Stefan Dohler will soon become Chief Executive Officer of the energy Group EWE AG in Oldenburg, Germany. The 51-year-old will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer, which has been vacant since February, as soon as possible, at the latest by 1 April 2018. The Supervisory Board of EWE AG appointed Dohler when they convened today.

“EWE is well positioned to perform well in the energy world, an industry which is currently in a state of transition. The company maintains close ties to its customers, understands the needs of its region and is always coming up with innovative ideas, whether it’s dealing with electricity grids, wind energy or the expansion of a groundbreaking fibre optic network,” says Dohler. “I’m happy to have the opportunity to incorporate my experience from the energy industry into such an exciting and innovative company. The move from Hamburg is no distance at all, and I’m closer to the fresh sea air here. I’m curious about the region and the people here, and of course am looking forward to meeting my new colleagues at EWE.”

– It is with mixed feelings that I have decided to leave Vattenfall after almost 20 years. Vattenfall has formed my professional life and offered me tremendous opportunities to develop. I have foremost enjoyed working with so many fantastic colleagues, says Stefan Dohler.

Vattenfall’s President and CEO Magnus Hall regrets Stefan Dohler’s decision, but congratulates him on his new position.

– We are very grateful for Stefan’s excellent contributions to the development of Vattenfall and wish him every success in his new position, says Magnus Hall, and adds, we continue on our journey to help customers power their lives in ever climate-smarter ways.
