The Floating Wind Joint Industry Project (Floating Wind JIP) is a collaborative initiative established in 2016, which aims to investigate the challenges and opportunities of developing commercial-scale floating wind farms.
The Floating Wind JIP receives funding (2016) from the Scottish Government and 15 industry partners: EDF Renouvelables, EnBW, Equinor, Kyuden Mirai Energy, Ørsted, OW Offshore (a joint venture between ENGIE and EDP Renewables), Parkwind, RWE Renewables (including the former renewables business of innogy), ScottishPower Renewables, Shell, SSE Renewables, TEPCO, TOTAL, Vattenfall, and Wpd.
